Abdul Hannan Masud, the main organizer of the anti-discrimination student movement, said, “The friends of fascism are showing their face again. They are trying to blend in with the mainstream of society. They are taking refuge in various political parties. But I tell the political parties that are sheltering and abetting those terrorists and those who fuel terrorism, your fate will be like Sheikh Hasina’s.”
Abdul Hannan Masud said these words while speaking as the chief guest at a mahfil organized by Westbank College in Mushapur Union of Companiganj, Noakhali, on Saturday night.
This student leader said, “Now you think you have come to power, you are doing whatever you want, there is no one to stop you. Before August 5, on August 3, August 4, the Awami League and Chhatra League also thought the same thing. Thinking the same thing, they took to the streets and shot and attacked our brothers and sisters. But they could not survive. Within two days, everyone from the Prime Minister to the Imam of Baitul Mukarram Mosque, Obaidul Quader to the members of the Union Parishad also had to flee. How terrible the consequences are. Watch out for their consequences.”
Hannan Masood warned against India’s hegemony, saying, “Those who are sitting in Delhi and trying to disturb this country think that this country belongs to Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Mujib. But they forget that this country is the country of Shaheed Titumir, this country belongs to Hossain Shaheed Suhrawardy, this country belongs to Major Zia, this country belongs to Allama Delwar Hossain Sayedee, this country belongs to Junaid Babunagri. They forget how many people have given their lives with a smile and have hung themselves on the gallows to protect the sovereignty of this country. They forget that many people, from Begum Zia to Matiur Rahman Nizami, have been imprisoned for a long time and many have become martyrs over the issue of the sovereignty of this country.”
